Adam and Eve with Serpent

This large plaque depicts a tree containing a serpent which looks down on Adam and Eve who stand one each side of the tree.  The crown of the tree is made from four pieces, with 20 mm diameter red buttons representing apples – four apples in each of the two lower pieces and three apples in each of the two higher pieces.  Above each apple are two recessed green leaves.  Near the base of the tree are nine leaves, each with an 8 mm diameter button in the centre.

The one-piece serpent curls down from the top of the tree, with thirteen 9 mm diameter purple buttons along its length and two 5mm diameter red buttons for eyes.  Adam stands to the left of the tree, with a black modesty leaf and holding a 20 mm diameter red apple towards Eve.  Eve stands to the right of the tree, with three 9 mm diameter orange flower buttons on each side of her long black hair.
